As it is a larger trailer it will receive a police escort for its arrival and departure from the site. This vehicle is 12 feet tall and due to the tree canopy on Bissonnet, in some spots, the escort will help direct it to the center of Bissonnet.Additional trucks that are not oversized will follow at 30 minute intervals to eliminate any traffic disruption. No lane closure will be necessary as previously anticipated.  All trucks will arrive and be parked on the site, be unloaded and depart the site. Week of 8/7: TRAFFIC ALERT: As excavation of the rainwater detention tank continues, empty dump trucks will enter the site through an entrance on Ashby. The trucks will be loaded and exit onto Bissonnet ensuring traffic flow. Traffic control will be positioned at Ashby and Bissonnet for the safety of drivers entering Bissonnet from Ashby. Last week we received a call on our construction line requesting that we move a refueling tank away from the South fence line. It was moved the next day. Also we received a complaint regarding workers shouting at neighbors. We took this very seriously and have investigated it as best we can post event. What we’ve learned is there was a crew working on the sidewalk across from our property. They had several pickup trucks parked on Ashby and at one point during rush hour on Thursday had blocked Ashby. This crew was in no way associated with our work. We asked them to move their trucks and they shouted at us. It is our belief this was the source of the complaint. Nonetheless we have instructed crews to engage politely with neighbors and to direct them to call 346-595-1717 or email at 1717Bissonnet@StreetLIghts.com to resolve any issue. Thank you for calling our attention to these issues. Only when we know can we take action. This week of June 5th the sidewalks on Bissonnet and Ashby will be closed and a new temporary fence will be installed.  Below are the on-site activities by week. The Langley construction broke ground on May 15. Earthwork is estimated to continue on-site for the next three months. The equipment on-site will include bull dozers and excavators served by dump trucks to haul dirt away from the site.
